This dilator from the Steel line is a urethral rod in polished stainless steel whose front part is divided into seven steps. The narrowest sits at the tip, each further one is a little thicker than the one before, until the rod turns into a smooth, straight grip. At the rear end hangs a ring by which you hold it and draw it out again. Because the diameter grows from step to step, you decide afresh at each step whether to go on; you stop before it feels tight, not after. For the very first tries, a thin, smooth dilator is the better choice. The rod comes in a clear plastic bag with a black strip and a hanging hole at the top. It stands under urethral toys, with sex toys for men, under sex toys and with the sex toys.

How is it used?

Sterile, slowly and only under the rod’s own weight. Beforehand, clean and disinfect it and apply only sterile water-based lubricant. Place the tip and let the rod slide in by itself without pushing after it. With pain, burning or blood, stop at once.

What are the steps for?

They make each stretch noticeable on its own. Each step makes itself felt as it passes the opening, and you know exactly which step you are at. The last one never has to be reached.

What is the ring for?

For holding and drawing out. It always stays outside and gives you a secure grip, even with lubricant on your fingers. It is drawn out just as slowly as the rod slid in.

Which lubricant do you need?

A sterile-filled water-based one. Normal lubricant from an open bottle is not enough for the urethra. Water-based products are under water-based lubricant.

How is it cleaned?

Before and after every use. Wash with warm water and soap, rinse the transitions between the steps thoroughly, then disinfect or boil it and let it dry. Store it free of dust.
