How does the twist run?

Evenly from the rounded tip down to the base, with the turns growing steadily wider. The lowest turn just above the suction cup is the thickest point. There are no nubs or grooves; the texture comes from the twist alone. The suction cup has a wavy rim like a shell.

Which lubricant fits?

A water-based one, and plenty of it. Silicone oil attacks silicone and makes the surface dull and tacky, and that cannot be undone. The selection is under water-based lubricant.
