The Garter Set Marcelle Picardia by Casmir is all white and comes in size S/M. At its heart is a basque of sheer tulle whose cups are edged with lace at the top; at the front two lace panels run downwards with a decorative lacing and a bow between them, and the lower edge ends in a ruffled hem. The shoulder straps are narrow, and the lace forms a scalloped edge along the top of the cups. Suspenders and a matching thong complete it. The material is 80% polyester and 20% elastane. How is the set washed?

By hand at thirty degrees and without fabric softener; it is dried and stored lying flat, because elastics lose their tension when they lie permanently stretched or creased. Close the suspender clips beforehand so that they do not snag on the tulle.

How does the white stay white?

White lingerie is best washed apart from coloured items, without bleach, and not dried in direct sunlight. Bleach and strong sun make tulle and lace turn yellow over time.

Are stockings included?

No, you buy the stockings separately. Stockings with a wide, firm top hold best, because the clips can grip it securely; the selection is under lingerie.

Which size fits?

Lingerie fits differently from brand to brand; with stretchy material the size above is the more comfortable choice when in doubt.

How are the clips fastened?

Put on the basque first, then the stockings, and close the clips last: open the clip, slip in the top of the stocking, close it. If the stocking needs pulling up, open the clip again first; pulling on a closed clip tears either the clip or the stocking. Put the thong on beforehand or, if you want to be able to take it off later without undoing the clips, afterwards over the suspenders.
