Bio with a warming effect from Hot is a vegan water-based lubricant that creates a warm feeling on the skin. This comes from a fermented chilli extract (Capsicum frutescens). The other ingredients are water, vegetable glycerine, propylene glycol, betaine, xanthan, carrageenan from red algae, a fermented radish root filtrate, sodium gluconate and citric acid. The light green tube with orange stripes stands on a red flip-top cap and is made largely of bio-based plastic. The large Bio lettering is red and sits on a green leaf, with Warming on a red band below it. It carries a vegan seal and the “Nature Care Product” seal, and the gel is made in Germany. What do you need to bear in mind with the warming effect?

Test the gel on a small patch of skin first, for example in the crook of your arm. Do not apply it to injured or irritated skin, and if it burns, wash it off with water straight away. It must not get into the eyes.

Is it compatible with condoms and toys?

As a water-based gel it is compatible with latex condoms and with toys of every material, silicone included. Lubricants that do not soak in at all are among the silicone lubricants; they often do not get on with silicone toys, though.

How do you apply it?

Start with a small amount on the intimate area or the toy and only take more once the warmth feels pleasant. When the glide fades, you add more.

How should the tube be stored?

Closed, dry and out of direct sunlight, between 5 and 30 °C. Once opened, the gel keeps for six months. Potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate preserve it.

How does it come off again?

With water, from the skin just as from laundry. You clean toys afterwards with warm water or a sex toy cleaner.
