Does the sponge replace a condom?

No. It absorbs blood and nothing else. That remains the job of condoms.

How is it inserted?

With clean hands: squeeze the sponge lengthways into a narrow shape, put your fingertip into the slit and use it to push the sponge in far enough that it is no longer noticeable.

How long can it stay in?

No longer than a tampon, so a few hours and not overnight. A forgotten sponge is the one serious mistake with this product.

How does it come out again?

With a finger, easiest while squatting and pushing gently. Anyone who cannot reach it goes to a doctor rather than trying for hours; that is routine, not an emergency.

Can it be used more than once?
