Pussy Licker by Doc Johnson is a flavoured gel for oral sex with a strawberry taste. It comes in a round white jar with a white screw lid; the band around it is in red and pink and carries the name in large letters. It is meant to give the skin a flavour before licking, for instance on the vulva, on the inner thighs or on other spots you want to pleasure with your mouth. How do you apply it?

Take a small amount out of the jar with a clean, dry finger and spread it thinly on the skin. Start sparingly and add more if needed. Then screw the lid back on straight away so that nothing dries out and no dirt gets in.

Is it also meant for lubrication?

It is made for the flavour during oral sex. For penetration and for sex with condoms, you are better off using a dedicated lubricant; there is a selection under water-based lubricant.

How do you test whether you tolerate it?

Before first use, put a little gel on a small spot, for instance the crook of your arm, and wait a while. If the skin burns or turns red, wash it off with lukewarm water and do not use it again. It does not go on irritated or broken skin.

How do you store it?

Tightly closed, cool and out of the sun, for example in the bedside table rather than on the windowsill. After use, wipe the rim of the jar clean so that the lid closes tightly.

How do you remove residue?

On the skin with lukewarm water and mild soap. On bed linen, dab residue off with a damp cloth before it dries.
