Body Lube by Cobeco is a water-based, latex-safe lubricant. It comes in a black bottle with a flip-top cap, printed with “LUBE” in white and “Body” above it in red script; the cap opens and closes with one hand. Water-based means it washes off with clear water and soaks in faster than an oil. If you react sensitively, try a new gel on the inside of your elbow first. Anally the rule is: take more than you think, and top up in between. Lubricant is not only for emergencies, by the way: even if you get wet on your own, a little gel adds to it, because the friction becomes more even. Is it condom-safe?

Yes. Water-based gels do not attack latex, unlike oil and petroleum jelly, which make a condom useless within minutes. The same goes for latex-free condoms made of polyisoprene or polyurethane. Condoms are under condoms.

Does it suit silicone toys?

Yes. Only silicone oil attacks silicone, water does not. That makes a water-based gel the one kind that suits genuinely every material.

What do you do when it soaks in?

A splash of water brings most water-based gels back; that is the usual trick and cheaper than topping up.

How do I apply it?

On both sides: onto your fingers, the toy or the condom and also directly onto the skin where it should glide. That spreads it better than one large portion in a single place.

How do I store it?

Tightly closed, cool and out of direct sunlight. How long it keeps after opening is stated on the bottle. Wipe the flip-top cap briefly after use so that nothing dries on at the opening.

Does it leave stains?

As a water-based gel it leaves no grease stains. Whatever ends up on bedding or clothing comes out in a normal wash.
