Does it taste of artificial vanilla?

The manufacturer declares the formula natural and calls the aroma „Natural Fragrance“. It is sweet all the same - sweeteners are part of it, otherwise a lubricant tastes of nothing.

Is it meant to be swallowed?

No. It is a cosmetic product for external use. That small amounts get into the mouth during oral sex is planned for; that does not make it a food.

Does it get on with toys and condoms?

With both. That is the advantage of a water base: silicone oil attacks silicone toys, oil makes condoms unsafe - a water gel has neither problem.

Do you have to top it up?

On longer sessions yes, that comes with a water base. The gel dries in over time; a few drops of water bring it back, and topping up works as well.
