The Akasha by Rithual is a massage wand made of soft black silicone with a rose gold ring between head and handle. Where is it used?

On the outside of the body. You rest the head on the clitoris, on the labia or through the fabric of your knickers; it is not meant for insertion. It works just as well on tense spots in the neck, shoulders and back.

Which programmes does it have?

Twenty vibration modes in eight intensity levels. It is controlled with the three buttons on the handle. Start on a low level and work up slowly until the strength is right.

How is it charged?

By a magnetic cable with a USB plug. It is included. The contacts sit on the outside of the housing and there is no socket. Charge it only once the contacts are dry.

Can it get wet?

It copes with splashes and water jets. It is protected to IPX6: rinsing it under the tap is no problem, but you should not submerge it, so do not take it into the bath.

Which lubricant is suitable?

Water-based only. Silicone-based lubricant attacks silicone: the surface goes dull and then sticky, and that cannot be undone. Suitable ones stand under water-based lubricant.

How is it cleaned?

With warm water and soap or a toy cleaner. Wipe the head with it or rinse it briefly, then let the wand air-dry. Silicone attracts dust, so it belongs in the drawer dry and apart from other toys.
