The Charisma Charm by CalExotics is a compact massage wand made of dark blue silicone that sits comfortably in one hand. It has a round head on a short, flexible neck and a straight handle whose lower end carries twisted ridges. The matt silicone feels velvety, and the ridges give your hand grip. It offers twelve vibration functions, which you control with two push buttons on the front of the handle. The battery is charged with the enclosed USB cable, which plugs into the side of the handle. It comes in a box with a colour gradient from violet through pink to orange, with the Charisma lettering running vertically. Which lubricant fits?

A water-based one. Silicone-based lubricant can attack the silicone and leave the velvety surface dull. The selection is under water-based lubricant.

How is it best to start?

With the weakest function. Place it next to the most sensitive spot first rather than directly on it. The flexible neck gives a little when you apply pressure.

Can it go in the bath?

Yes. To IPX7 it can handle brief submersion, so the shower and the bath are no problem. The charging cable goes on only once the charging port is completely dry again.

Can it be used anally or for insertion?

No. The round head is shaped to rest on the body, not for insertion, and there is no flared base for anal play.

How is it cleaned?

With lukewarm water and a sex toy cleaner, including the ridges and the transition between head and neck. Then let it air-dry and store it apart from other silicone toys.
