The Violet by Armony is a purple silicone massage wand with a flexible neck and a rechargeable battery. Its head is shaped like a capsule and is wider than the neck. At the top of the grip sits a wide collar from which the flexible neck rises. Embossed wavy lines run lengthways along the grip and give hold even with damp hands; between them sit three round buttons one above the other: the button with the bar symbol sets the intensity, the one with the wave the frequency, and the bottom one switches it on and off. There are 20 vibration patterns and 8 speeds to choose from. A shiny silver cap sits at the end of the grip, and it stays quiet in use. How is it charged?

Via USB: the charging socket sits in the silver end cap, and the other end of the cable fits a USB power adapter, a laptop or a power bank.

Can it get wet?

Yes, it is waterproof and can come into the shower. The socket must be dry before you charge it again.

Which lubricant fits?

A water-based one. Silicone oil attacks the silicone surface and dulls it over time. The selection is under water-based lubricant.

How is it cleaned?

With warm water and a sex toy cleaner; rinse thoroughly in the wavy lines of the grip. Then let it air-dry.

Is it meant for insertion?

No, it is made to rest on the body, for massage and on the intimate area. Models for insertion are under vibrators.

What does the flexible neck do?

The head can give way a little to the side when you press it. That lets it settle against curves such as the shoulder or hip instead of resting on its edge.

How do you store it?

Dry and on its own, ideally in a fabric pouch, so that no dust clings to the silicone and the charging socket stays clean.
