How is it inserted?

With clean hands, fold it, for example into a C or by pressing one point of the rim inwards, and insert it folded. Inside it opens up again; a slight turn of the body helps if it has not fully unfolded yet. A little water or water-based lubricant makes insertion easier, whereas lubricant containing silicone attacks the material. Suitable products are under water-based lubricant.

How do I take it out?

Do not simply pull on the ring. First press the rim in briefly with one finger so that air flows in and the suction eases, then guide the cup out slowly and at a slight angle by the pull ring. Keep it upright, empty it, done.

How often is it emptied?

That depends on how heavy your flow is: more often on heavy days, less often on light ones. Especially in the first cycle it is worth checking more frequently until you know how quickly the cup fills for you.

How is it cleaned and stored?

After each emptying rinse it with clear water and reinsert it. Between two cycles clean it thoroughly with warm water, let it dry completely and store it somewhere airy, not in an airtight tin. A sex toy cleaner is not needed for this; clear water is enough.

Why a pull ring instead of a stem?

A stem points downwards and is often trimmed so it does not get in the way. The flat ring takes up less room and gives two fingers a firm hold when removing the cup.
