How do you put a sucker on?

With the knob right down and a little lubricant on the rim. First turn the piston all the way down, place the cylinder centrally and spread a little water-based lubricant on the rim so that it seals well. Then turn slowly until you feel a light pull, and stop there.

How long may a sucker stay on?

Only a few minutes at a time. Build up the suction slowly and keep it too weak rather than too strong. If you feel pain, numbness, discolouration or blisters, release the sucker at once. It is not used on broken or irritated skin.
