The Lara Chemise top by Casmir is a short, close-fitting slip in black, here in size S/M. Smooth, glossy fabric sits at the sides, while a wide panel of black lace with a graphic leaf pattern over a light underlay takes up the front centre from the neckline to the hem. The deep V-neckline is decorated with criss-cross lacing. Wide straps of the same lace run over the shoulders. At the back the slip is cut low, and only at the top of the neck does a narrow tie with a bow hold the two sides together. Thanks to this open back, Lara shows as much skin from behind as it shows lace from the front. It sits under lingerie, under lingerie for women and in our for the top section.

How long is the chemise?

It ends about halfway down the thighs and is therefore worn like a very short dress. You do not need another piece with it, it is complete on its own.

Can I wear a bra underneath?

Not really. Because of the open back its fastening would be on show, and the deep V-neckline with its lacing leaves no room for straps or cups either. Lara is made to sit directly on the skin.

Will S/M fit me?

S/M is cut for dress sizes S and M. Because the fabric contains elastane, it hugs the body and gives a little. If it feels noticeably too tight over the bust or hips, the next size is the better choice.

How do you care for the chemise?

Gentlest by hand in cool water with a mild delicate detergent. Lay the tie and the lacing straight beforehand so that they do not knot. Then press the water out carefully and let it dry lying flat.

How do you store it?

Loosely folded or on a padded hanger, away from clothing with hooks and zips. That way the lace stays free of pulled threads.
