Romantic is an eau de parfum from the pheromone range of Eye of Love in 10 ml. Alongside the fragrance it contains pheromones. The bottle is a slim, clear glass vial with dark print: Eye of Love, Pheromone Parfum and the name Romantic, with the eye logo at the bottom. A black cap covers the black spray head. It comes in a black folding box with a pattern of fine cracks and red lettering. Thanks to the slim format the vial fits in a jacket or trouser pocket and is quickly to hand when the scent needs refreshing in the evening. What does Romantic smell like?

It opens with lemongrass, clove and oakmoss. The heart holds mint, geranium, sage, fennel and nutmeg, and the base is sandalwood, cedar, vanilla, vetiver, jasmine and musk. The result is a spicy, herbal scent with a woody base.

Do the pheromones work?

In humans, an effect of pheromones is not scientifically established. The only certainty is that you are wearing a perfume that smells. If you like the scent and feel good in it, that is the part you can rely on.

How do I apply it?

One or two sprays just below the neckline are enough, directly onto the skin from about a hand’s width away. Let the scent dry down instead of rubbing it in. Better not to spray it on clothing, because fragrances can leave marks on light fabric.

What about sensitive skin?

Try it on a small patch before first use, such as the inside of the elbow. If it irritates the skin or feels unpleasant, stop using it and see a doctor if the irritation persists. Keep it away from the eyes, mucous membranes and the intimate area; if some gets into the eye, rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water. Keep the bottle out of reach of children.

How do I store it?

Cool, dry and out of direct sunlight, with the cap on. Heat and light change fragrances over time, so a car in summer or a sunny windowsill is a poor place for the bottle.
