The Dripstick Starter Set from Awkward Essentials in collaboration with Doc Johnson is meant for the minutes after sex. A Dripstick is a soft polyurethane sponge on a polypropylene handle that takes up what would otherwise run out later and end up in your underwear or sheets. Sponge and stem are white, and the stem ends in a flat, oval grip. The set comprises eight pieces: five Dripsticks, a travel bag, a towel and a tube of Spot-On Gel. The travel bag is a mint-green zip pouch with the Awkward Essentials lettering, and the white terry towel is printed with a drop and the lettering “AWWWWW”. Everything comes in a mint-green stand-up pouch. It sits under sex toy cleaner, under drugstore and in our sex toys for couples section.

How is a Dripstick used?

After sex, hold it by the handle, insert the sponge vaginally, twirl it briefly and pull it out again.

Does it replace a condom?

No. The Dripstick protects against nothing, so it does not replace a condom; the selection is under condoms.

Is it meant for periods?

No. A Dripstick is not a tampon and not a period product. It is not used anally either.

Can a Dripstick be used more than once?

No. Each one is meant for single use and goes in the bin afterwards, not down the toilet, because the sponge can block the drain.

How do you store the Dripsticks?

Dry and clean, ideally in the travel bag, which also has room for the gel; that way you have everything together when you are out and about. A Dripstick that has been dropped or got damp is not used any more.

What is Spot-On Gel?
