How do you fix it in place?

Wipe the floor and suction plate clean and dry, press the plate down flat and flip the lever. Then put the clamp on the machine's tube and tighten it. Run the Gigolo once without a person and check that everything holds.

Why does it sometimes not hold?

Usually because of the surface. Tiles, glass, stone and sealed wood are ideal; on carpet, grout lines and rough floorboards the plate finds no grip. Even fine crumbs let air underneath, and a drop of water at the edge improves the seal.

How is it cleaned?
