The Shaping Skirt Light Control by Bye Bra is a half slip in stretchy fabric that you wear under a dress or skirt. It sits at the waist with a high waistband, fits closely over the hips and thighs and ends above the knee. “Light Control” stands for light shaping: the fabric visually smooths your silhouette and lets the outer fabric fall more smoothly without pressing hard. It is smooth, with no lace or trim, and adds little bulk under close-fitting fabrics. The cut is straight and narrow and the waistband is set off as a wide band. How do I put it on?

It has no fastening: step into it, pull it up over your hips to the waist and smooth the fabric over your hips and thighs so no creases show under your dress.

How long does the effect last?

Only while you wear the skirt; it does not change your figure permanently.

Which size should I choose?

Your usual dress size. One size smaller does not shape more, it cuts in and soon becomes uncomfortable. You should feel the waistband, but it should not leave a groove.

How do I care for the skirt?

Wash it gently and without fabric softener, as softener takes the stretch out of the elastane. Dry it flat; the tumble dryer is the hardest thing on stretchy fabric.

How long does the dress over it need to be?

At least knee-length, otherwise the hem shows at the bottom.

Does it work under a slit skirt?

It has no slit itself. Under a skirt or dress with a high slit it can therefore show where the slit opens.
