Does it go with silicone toys?

Only after a test. A silicone-based lubricant can attack the surface of some silicone toys, which then turns dull or sticky. Try it first on an inconspicuous spot of the toy and wait a day. Without a test, a gel from water-based lubricant is the better choice for silicone toys; it is compatible with latex condoms and all toy materials.

How much do you need?

Very little. A few drops are enough to start with, and you rarely need to add more. Better to start with too little; more can go on at any time.

What should you watch out for in the bathroom?

Smooth floors. Silicone makes tiles, the bottom of the bath and the shower tray slippery. So wipe up any drops straight away with a cloth and a little washing-up liquid before anyone slips on them.

How do you get it off again?

Water alone is not enough, because silicone does not dissolve in it. It comes off the skin with warm water and soap. Pre-treat stains on bed linen with a little washing-up liquid before washing.

What matters with sensitive skin?

Test the gel on a small patch of skin in the crook of your arm first and wait a few hours. If the skin turns red, burns or itches, wash it off with soap and stop using it. Keep it out of your eyes.
