These hold-up stockings by Leg Avenue are knitted from micro net, a net with meshes so small that from a distance it looks like fine hosiery and only shows its pattern up close. What should you watch out for with the silicone?

It only grips on clean, dry skin. Lotion or oil on the thigh makes it slip, so moisturise only after putting them on and leave out the thighs.

How long can you wear them?

That depends on your skin. If your skin is sensitive, it is better to wear them for only a few hours at a time, because the adhesive band rests on the same spot the whole time.

Which sizes are they made for?

For dress sizes EU 34 to 40. The lace band should sit firmly on the thigh without cutting in: too loose and it slips, too tight and it presses.

What is included?

One pair of stockings. The black briefs and the strappy shoes in the picture are not included.

How are they washed?

By hand in lukewarm water with a delicate detergent and without fabric softener, because its film settles on the silicone and makes it grip less. Then dry them flat.

How do you put them on without overstretching the band?

Roll the stocking down to the heel, put your foot in and push the micro net up with the palms of your hands. Pull the lace band onto the thigh last, without stretching it further than necessary.
