How do you attach the suspenders properly?

First pull the stocking all the way up and smooth the net so that it lies straight on the leg. Then fix the clips at the front and back in the band, not in the net below. If they sit at roughly the same height, the belt pulls evenly and the net does not distort.

Why a plain band instead of lace?

A plain top hardly adds bulk under tight clothing and does not show through a skirt as a pattern. Together with the suspender straps it creates the classic line in which the net leads the eye up to the belt.

How fine is the net?

The stitches are small. Close up you can make out the grid; from a little distance it lies on the leg like a dark veil.
