What effect does an opaque red stocking have?

The skin cannot be seen; the leg appears as one continuous red surface. This makes the stocking look more like a garment than delicate lingerie. Only at the knee and heel, where the knit stretches most, can the shade come out a little lighter.

What size are they?

They are cut as one size, designed for roughly EU 34 to 40. The thigh circumference is what counts, because that is where the top edge sits.

Can you attach them to suspenders?

Yes. The clips of a suspender belt grip the top edge and not the knit below. With a black suspender belt this makes a strong contrast. A suspender belt is not included.

How do you handle them gently?

Take rings off and check your nails. Then gather the stocking down to the heel, put your foot in and roll the nylon up slowly instead of pulling on the edge. If a stitch does run, a drop of clear nail varnish at both ends stops it. They are best washed gently by hand in cool water.

What does the red go with?

Black gives the strongest contrast, red with red looks all of a piece, for example with a red pleated skirt. With white it turns more playful.
