Why is a wide band more comfortable?

The wider the band, the larger the area over which the hold is spread. As a result it presses less at single points and sits more steadily on the thigh.

What does the silicone strip need?

Dry skin without lotion or oil, otherwise it slips. So you apply skincare only once the stockings are on and leave the area under the band free.

What does one size mean?

It corresponds roughly to EU dress sizes 34 to 40. With its elastane content the knit gives; the band should still sit flat all round on the thigh without digging in.

How do you put them on?

Rings off and nails checked, gather the stocking down to the heel, slip your foot in and roll the fabric slowly up your leg. Do not pull on the band; instead smooth it into place last with flat hands.

What helps against a ladder?

A drop of clear nail varnish at the top and bottom end of the ladder stops it until you take the stockings off.

Can you clip them to suspenders?
