How do they stay up without suspenders?

Through the lace band, which lies close around the leg and grips. It sits best on dry skin, so do not moisturise your thighs right before putting them on.

What is industrial net?

That is the name for net with thicker yarn and much larger meshes than classic fine net. The grid reads as a pattern even from some distance, while fine net looks more like a smooth stocking from afar.
