From the Balance series by Anais Men, a Spanish label that deliberately treats menswear as lingerie rather than as an undershirt. As a top this model comes without sleeves and with narrow straps over the shoulders; the armholes are cut wide and leave shoulders and upper arms on show. The Balance series relies on a fine line grid rather than a print; up close it reads as a check, from a distance almost as a solid colour. The fabric is 95% polyamide and 5% elastane and therefore brings enough stretch to follow the body line instead of hanging boxily over it. The workmanship is built for comfort, with seams that lie flat and do not bulk up. The model is offered in several sizes, each as its own article; this is the version in size XL.
