How do you prepare the Dark Rod?

Clean it thoroughly and disinfect the beaded shaft. Things settle easily between the beads, so wash out every groove with warm water and mild soap before disinfecting. The bullet with the electronics is only wiped and does not go into water.

Which lubricant do you use?

Only a sterile, water-based one. Apply it to every bead and reapply as needed rather than carrying on dry. Silicone lubricant does not suit silicone. A selection is under water-based lubricant.

How far do you insert it?

Only as far as it slides without pressure. At the larger beads especially, stop as soon as there is resistance; force is never used. Pain, burning or blood mean stopping at once. Anyone who has only known thinner, smooth rods so far stays with the thinnest of them first and takes this sound later.

How long may it stay in?
