How is it operated?

From the dial on the cable. There is nothing to pair and nothing to charge, the dial does its work as soon as the batteries are in. In return the cable sets the range: enough for the bed, not for the next room. There is no switch on the shaft itself, so the dial belongs within reach from the start.

What does the suction base hold on to?

Smooth, non-porous surfaces such as tile, glass or a mirror, and there the better the cleaner and drier both sides are. On grouting, rough stone and fabric it does not hold. A brief check by hand before you start saves the surprise midway.

What do I need to know about PVC?
