🧭 Why it lasts so much longer

Water-based gels consist mostly of water – that evaporates, and what remains is a sticky film that wants topping up. Silicone oil does not evaporate and is not absorbed by the skin either. That is why a single drop is often enough for a whole session, and why it is the only lubricant that works reliably in water. The price for that is the material question: the very property that makes it last is what makes it react with silicone toys.

⚠️ What it is compatible with – and what it is not

• Silicone toys: no. The gel attacks the surface, which turns dull and sticky. The damage cannot be undone.
• Glass, metal, ceramic, stainless steel: yes. These materials are unaffected, and this is where silicone plays to its strengths.
• Latex condoms: yes. Unlike oil, silicone oil does not attack latex – the combination is safe.
• TPE and cyberskin: better not. Soft masturbator materials react much like silicone does.
• Test if in doubt: put a drop on the underside of the toy, wait an hour and check the spot.

Important for material care

🚨 Removing residue

Silicone oil does not come off with clear water alone – it takes mild soap, both on the skin and on toys made of glass or metal. Also expect the shower or bath to get slippery: wipe the surface down with washing-up liquid afterwards, otherwise the film stays. On textiles, silicone oil leaves stains that are hard to wash out – an erotic pad saves you the trouble with your bedding. Opened bottles keep for a long time but belong closed and stored in the dark.
