What does a cock ring do?

It dams up the blood. The ring sits at the base of the penis and slows the return flow – the erection gets firmer and lasts longer. That is the whole mechanism; there is no electronics behind it. More in the cock ring guide.

What do you have to watch out for?

The time. As a rule of thumb: take it off after 20 to 30 minutes at the latest. On numbness, tingling, discolouration or cold skin, immediately. A ring that will not come off again, or an erection that has not subsided after hours, belongs in medical hands and is not something to wait out. Anyone taking blood-thinning medication or with circulation problems clears it beforehand.

What does 3.8 cm mean here?

All three carry the same figure as length and as diameter – on a ring, though, the decisive detail is the inner diameter unstretched, and whether the material gives. Two of the three are listed with TPE, on the cock cage ring the material is missing. Both are on the product page.

What is the difference to the cage design?

The area. A plain ring lies only at the base, a model in cage design encloses more and presses at several points. That changes nothing about the time limit, but it makes pressure marks more likely – which makes it all the more important that it can be pulled off at any moment.

How is it cared for?

Warm water with mild soap or a toy cleaner before and after every use, then dry completely. Store soft materials such as TPE apart from one another and check briefly for cracks before putting one on – a ring that tears while being stretched does so at the worst moment.
