What is a longer nozzle for?

It reaches further, but that is no advantage in itself. For ordinary cleaning a few centimetres are enough; the length only helps if flushing deeper is intended, and then it belongs in practised hands. Insert only as far as feels comfortable.

How much water belongs inside?

As little as possible. For the lower rectum two to three hundred millilitres of lukewarm water are enough, and there should be no more than two passes. Anyone flushing too much and too often washes out the gut flora and irritates the mucous membrane.

How warm may the water be?

Hand-warm, not hot. The rectum senses temperature less well than the skin, so water that is too hot is only noticed once it is too late. Testing on the wrist is the safe route, as with a baby's bottle.
