Is this an anal plug?

No. The ridged peg is the connector for the attachment and is not inserted itself. For anal use the attachment needs a flared base that stays outside, because the sphincter pulls inward whatever it can grip. A toy without a base does not belong in anal use.

Which lubricant fits?

That depends on the attachment. Water-based suits every material, silicone gel attacks silicone attachments; for anal use, plenty of it belongs with it. The selection is under water-based lubricant, thicker ones under anal and fisting lubricant.

Where does the suction cup hold?

On smooth, non-porous surfaces such as tiles, glass or mirrors, in the shower or bath as well. On rough or porous surfaces such as wood or wallpaper it does not hold securely. To release it, flip the lever rather than pulling on the attachment.
