The Kum Keeper by Fort Troff x Doc Johnson is a short, wide plug made of flexible silicone that is hollow inside. The tip is tapered for easier entry, and the base is a wide, toothed ring. Why does an anal toy need a base?

Because the sphincter pulls inward whatever it can grip, and the rectum has no natural limit. The base stays outside and prevents exactly that. A toy without a base is not used anally.

Which lubricant fits?

A water-based one, and plenty of it, because nothing gets wet by itself anally; top up in between. Silicone gel does not suit silicone, it attacks the surface. The selection is under water-based lubricant, thicker ones under anal and fisting lubricant.

How do you start?

With time and in a relaxed position. The sphincter opens by itself when given the chance; pushing achieves the opposite. If it hurts, stop; do not push through.

How is it cleaned?

Take out the stopper and wash the plug inside and out with lukewarm water and a sex toy cleaner then let both parts dry and only put them away dry. The silicone also takes three minutes in boiling water or the top rack of the dishwasher. Store it somewhere cool and apart from other toys.

How do you fill it?

Pull the stopper out while the plug is in place and add lubricant through the base, for example with a funnel, a nozzle or a tube. Then the stopper goes back in.
