Can stockings be attached to them?

No. The straps are closed loops without clips and without sliders - they sit on the thigh and hold nothing. Anyone wanting to hold stockings needs a real suspender belt.

Are the straps adjustable?

No, they are sewn in place and give only through the elastic. On fuller thighs they cut in rather than slip - in doubt the thigh circumference decides the size.

What does one size mean here?

Leg Avenue lists one size as EU 34 to 40. The knit stretches far; what decides is less the width than the torso length, which hardly gives.

How do you put it on without damaging it?

Rings off, nails checked, gather the fabric rather than pulling it. Fine mesh and lace almost always tear in the same place: where a fingernail catches on the way up.

What do you do when a stitch ladders?

A drop of clear nail varnish at the top and bottom end of the ladder stops it at once. On coarse net you hardly see the spot, because the pattern is open anyway; on fine lace it stays visible.

Can it be worn under clothes?

Partly. Under a loose shirt or a blazer only a hint of the pattern remains; under a tight light-coloured top every edge shows. It is meant for the evening, not for a day at the office.
