No, and LELO does not claim so either. The core is metal, over it lies a plating of 20-carat gold, set in black silicone. Solid, they would be too heavy and unaffordable.

How do you care for the gold plating?

Only with lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft cloth. Anything abrasive is out - a gold plating is thin, and what is once worn through does not come back.
