The Paddle Scandal by CalExotics is a wide paddle with a red and black patterned cover and a loop on the handle. A paddle lands flat and over a large area: it sounds louder than it works, which makes it a good tool to start with. Where may you strike?

On the buttocks and the back of the thighs, nowhere else. The spine, kidneys, abdomen, joints and everything above the waist are off limits; organs and bones lie too close under the skin there.
