The eXXtreme Glide from Hot is a silicone-based lubricant intended for anal sex. It forms a thin, long-lasting film because silicone neither soaks into the skin nor dries out. The base is cyclopentasiloxane and dimethiconol, joined by ethylhexyl stearate, silica, evening primrose oil, peanut oil, St John’s wort extract, ascorbyl palmitate and vitamin E. It contains no numbing agent, so you still feel every warning signal your body sends. The black bottle with yellow eXXtreme lettering is made in Germany. Which toys and condoms does it go with?

It suits toys made of glass, stainless steel and hard plastic. Silicone toys are off limits: silicone lubricant can attack their surface, which turns dull and tacky, and that cannot be undone. Do not use it with latex condoms either, because besides silicone it contains oils, and oil can damage latex. For silicone toys and sex with a condom, a gel from water-based lubricant is the right choice.

How much do you need?

Less than of a water-based gel. A few drops spread on the skin or the toy are enough to start with, and you only need to top up once the film becomes noticeably thinner. Using too much mostly leaves you with a slippery sheet.

How do you get it off again?

With warm water and soap, water alone is not enough with silicone. Wash toys made of glass or stainless steel the same way. On fabrics the film can leave stains, which you pre-treat with a little washing-up liquid before washing.

What about allergies and sensitive skin?

It contains peanut oil, so do not use it if you have a peanut allergy. Test it on a small patch of skin, such as the inside of your elbow, before the first use, and stop if it burns, itches or reddens. For anal sex: go slowly, use enough lubricant and stop at once if there is pain or blood.

How do you store the bottle?

Tightly closed, dry and protected from sunlight, at temperatures between 5 and 30 °C. Once opened, the contents keep for 6 months.
