A drop therefore lasts longer than a handful of water-based gel - anally that is the whole reason this version exists. The price is one hard rule: silicone oil attacks silicone, so it is out of the question for silicone toys. Why not for silicone toys?

Because like dissolves like. Silicone oil leaves the surface of a silicone toy dull, then tacky, and that cannot be undone. If you want to combine the two, put a condom over the toy - that is the only clean way. The other way round does not exist: there is no such thing as a silicone condom.

Why silicone rather than water at all?

For the staying power. Anally the body works a water film away quickly, and topping up interrupts. Silicone stays put. If you do not need that, a water gel is more flexible, see water-based lubricant.

How much of it do you need?

Considerably less than you are used to. One or two drops cover what would take a teaspoon of water-based gel. Dosing it as usual leaves you with slippery bedding and no better effect.

How does it come off again?

With soap, not with water alone - that is the difference from water-based gel and the reason it lasts so long. Out of fabrics it comes best with washing-up liquid before the wash. And because silicone does not soak in, one drop covers a whole session - dosing it like a water gel means longer cleaning afterwards.
