Why must it not touch silicone toys?

Because silicone dissolves silicone. Silicone oil makes the surface of a silicone toy dull and eventually tacky, and that cannot be undone. Toys made of glass, stainless steel or hard plastic, on the other hand, are not harmed; for silicone toys, use a gel from water-based lubricant.

How much do you need?

Considerably less than of a water-based gel, because silicone neither soaks in nor evaporates. Start with two or three drops and only top up when it is really necessary; otherwise the excess ends up on the bedding.

Does it hold up in water?

Yes. Silicone oil repels water and is not rinsed off in the shower or the bath. Wipe tiles and the bottom of the bath thoroughly afterwards, because it makes them slippery.

How do you get it off again?

From the skin with warm water and soap; water alone is not enough. Silicone is hard to get out of fabrics, so a towel underneath protects sheets and sofa. Toys made of glass or metal come clean again with warm water and a product from sex toy cleaner.
