Description

Silicone Lubricant ID Velvet Body Glide 200 ml 🌑

The large bottle is purely a question of arithmetic: you need so little silicone gel per use that this quantity lasts a very long time - anyone buying it has settled on the base and does not want to reorder every few weeks. ID Velvet is a silicone-based lubricant, and almost everything follows from that: one drop is enough, it does not sink into the skin, it stays put, and it holds up in water. That makes it the choice for long sex, for anal and for anything happening in the bath. The price for that fits in a single line: silicone oil attacks silicone toys. With latex condoms it gets along without any problem - unlike a plant oil, which makes latex brittle. The bottle also says „Formulated in Germany“. If you would rather have a gel without any silicone content, you will find it at water-based lubricant; the differences between the bases are explained in the lubricant guide. The line is under silicone lubricant and in the brand world of ID.

❓ FAQ

Why must it not touch silicone toys?

Because like dissolves like. Silicone oil makes the surface of a silicone toy dull and eventually tacky, and that cannot be undone. For toys of glass, stainless steel or ABS it is unproblematic, and for silicone there is water-based lubricant.

How much do you need?

Considerably less than of a water-based gel, and that is the real advantage. One or two drops last a long time because nothing soaks in and nothing evaporates. Take too much and you notice it on the bedding, not in the feeling - so start sparingly and top up only when it is really necessary.

Does it come off again?

From skin with soap, yes - water alone is not enough because silicone oil repels water. Out of textiles it comes less readily than a water-based gel; a towel underneath saves the argument with the washing machine. Toys of glass or metal come clean again with warm water and a product from the sex toy cleaner category.

Is it compatible with condoms?

Yes. Unlike massage and care oils, silicone oil does not attack latex - chemically it is something quite different from a plant oil. For anal sex the combination of condom and silicone gel is in fact the most durable one; more on that in the anal sex guide.
