How much do you need?

A few drops are enough for a whole session. Spread them with your fingers and only add more when the glide really fades; too much silicone does not glide better, it just ends up on the sheet.

How do you get it off again?

Water alone is not enough; you need soap or shower gel and warm water. Detergent gets it out of bedding and clothes; a towel underneath spares you most of that.
