Body in Balance carries exactly one product here, but in three container sizes: an intimate massage oil from the handy bottle to the canister. The three articles differ only in fill volume.

For home use the bottle with 200 ml is enough, more generous is the 500 ml size, and for studios or heavy users there is the 5-litre canister – see massage products and erotic trays and tubs.

Why is oil not a lubricant for everything?

Because it destroys two things you often have to hand during sex. Oil-based products attack latex condoms within minutes without anything showing on the condom, and they damage silicone surfaces. For a massage oil is ideal; for anything beyond that you take a water-based lubricant. More on that in the lubricant guide.

Which size fits?

200 ml is a usual household size and covers many applications. The 500 ml bottle pays off if you regularly massage large areas – with a full-body massage far more goes than expected. The 5-litre canister is a studio size; at home it usually stands around longer than the oil stays good.

What should you watch out for?

Your skin and your textiles. Oil soaks into bed linen and comes out of it badly – a tray saves trouble. On sensitive skin, test a small amount on the inside of your elbow first. On lasting burning or itching, get it checked by a doctor. More in the guide to erotic massage.

What is not in the data sheet?

Neither a material nor a list of ingredients is on file for any of the three articles. On an oil that goes onto the skin over a large area, that is exactly the decisive detail – it is on the bottle and on the product page.

How is it cared for and stored?

Cool, dark and closed. Oils turn rancid over time; the expiry date is on the container, and opened bulk sizes keep less long than unopened ones. After the massage wash off with warm water and mild soap. Do not put anything back into the canister that has had skin contact. See massage oils and massage candles.
