What does the motor offer over a bulb?

Even pressure. A hand squeezes unevenly, a motor does not - which makes the rinse more predictable and leaves both hands free.

What is a one-way valve for?

So nothing flows back. Without a valve the bulb draws in again on release - with one, what is in stays in and the bulb refills from the water container.

What is the vibration for?

It relaxes the muscle. A cramped sphincter lets less water through; the vibration at the nozzle works directly against that.

How often may you rinse?

No more often than necessary and never daily. Every rinse washes away part of the natural gut flora; rinsing regularly makes the bowel more sensitive rather than cleaner. Once before anal sex is enough.

What do you rinse with?

Clear lukewarm water and nothing else. No soapy water, no additives, no cleaners - the mucous membrane absorbs whatever goes in. Too hot or too cold makes it cramp.

How much water is right?

As little as possible. This is about the last section, not a bowel cleanse - one filling is enough, and what comes back out is waited for before the next follows.
