They shrink towards the top, and a short, smooth tip closes it off, so the attachment starts narrow and grows in steps. Do I have to take all the beads?

No. The graduation is an offer, not a programme. Many stop at the second or third bead, and for the douche's job that is entirely enough. The lowest bead is more of a stop than a target.

What do I watch with the water?

Lukewarm water only, with no additives, and at low pressure: open the tap only a crack and check the temperature on your hand beforehand. Coat the tip with a little water-based lubricant, insert it slowly and guide the tube with your hand. Let in only as much water as is needed, prefer several small rounds to one long one, and do not douche daily. If anything hurts, stop at once. Afterwards the douche is cleaned and dried.

Is it suitable for a start?

How do I clean it?

Work through the transitions between the beads with warm water and toy cleaner and flush the inside of the tube with clear water, then let it dry open. The beads are closed all round, so there are no crevices for anything to stay in. A soft cloth is enough to finish drying.
