Made to last longer are Extended Pleasure and Performa, both of which carry a numbing gel in the reservoir. Which lubricant goes with a condom?

A water-based one – always. Oil and fat destroy latex within minutes, and you cannot see it happening. The three silicone gels from Durex are latex-compatible but attack silicone toys. What does latex-free mean?

The latex-free condoms are made of polyisoprene – a synthetic material that feels similar but contains no latex proteins. For anyone with a latex allergy it is the only option; here that means Real Feel, Nude Latex-Free and the three Total Connection varieties.

How safe are delaying condoms?

Exactly as safe as any other – the difference is a numbing gel in the reservoir. It takes effect after a few minutes and can transfer to a partner; if you would rather it did not, wash your hands after putting the condom on. Two varieties in the range work this way.

What should you watch out for with condoms?

The expiry date, the right size and an undamaged wrapper. Do not open it with your teeth, squeeze the air out of the reservoir, put it on before any contact, and use each condom only once. Store them cool and dry – not in a trouser pocket and not in the car.
