Intimateline – 129 bottles, and not all of them water-based 💧

Intimateline is, with 129 items, the largest pure drugstore brand in our range: 78 lubricants, 22 massage oils, 18 stimulating gels and creams, three perfumes, two toy cleaners. The previous text advertised the brand across the board as being on a "skin-friendly water base" – that holds for the majority, but not for all of them. Which is where this starts.

Which base is inside? ⚠️

There are three groups to keep apart. Water-based is the safe default: compatible with condoms and with every toy material. Silicone-based glides longer and is waterproof, but it attacks silicone toys – this group covers the Puro Silicone, the Lubesil at 100 ml and at 50 ml, the Boyglide on a silicone base at 30 ml and 100 ml, the Lubrax Hybrid at 50 ml and 100 ml as well as the Total-P on a hybrid base – see silicone lubricant.

The third group is the critical one: three anal gels are OIL-BASED – the Lubranal Lubrifist, the Lubran with jojoba oil and the Beeasy with beeswax. Oil destroys latex condoms without anyone noticing, and it attacks silicone toys. These three belong only to sex without a condom and without a toy. The 22 massage oils fall under the same rule.

The lubricant lines 🌸

The largest line is called Sensilight: the original formula comes at 30, 60, 150 and 500 ml, plus the Aquagel, the effect versions Hot and Fresh and the flavours strawberry, banana, cherry, passion fruit, coconut and melon and tutti frutti.

The Feel line covers the same directions, for instance as Feel at 150 ml, as Hot Sensation, as Fresh Sensation or as strawberry. The Wish line brings Original, Hot, Fresh and four flavours such as caramel. Added to these are the Lovtail cocktail line with Mojito, Piña Colada and Cosmopolitan, the Lick Jelly gels for licking off as well as the Puro with hyaluron – see water-based lubricants and flavored lubricant.

Fourteen anal gels, three of them relaxing sprays 🍑

For anal use there is the Sensilight Sliding line at 30, 60 and 150 ml, the water-based Boyglide anal gels at 30 and 100 ml, for fisting the large containers at 500 ml and at 250 ml as well as the Fistan Lubrifist – see anal lubricant. Three sprays are meant to relax: the Relaxan comfort spray, the Boyglide relaxing spray and the Luxuria anal spray.

22 massage oils and candles 🕯️

The Voluptas line is edible and warming, for instance as strawberry, chocolate or caramel. The organic line comes as Wild Roses, Dark Forest, Snow Flowers and Exotic Island. Tantras Love Oil comes four times at 150 ml, among them White Musk and Hot Kiss. Two massage candles come in chocolate and grape, plus the Nuru massage gel at 500 ml – see massage products.

Eighteen creams that promise an effect 💡

This group barely featured in the old text. For him there are three delay sprays – Kronos, Boyglide Delay and Replay –, three XXL creams such as the XXL penis volumising cream and two erection creams, for instance the Erex Power Hard. For her there are the Lady Cream, the Lady Gel, gels with a vibrating effect such as the Vibroil as well as a firming breast gel and a butt gel. On top of that come three perfumes with pheromones, for him and for her – see sexual preparations.

What does "water-based" actually mean?

That the gel washes off with water and works with latex condoms and with every toy material. At Intimateline that applies to the large majority, but precisely not to all: eight gels are silicone-based or hybrid, three anal gels and 22 massage oils are oil-based. Watch for the statement in the product title – it is there on almost every item. More in the lubricant guide.

What should you make of delay sprays?

They contain a mild numbing agent and reduce sensation. That can work, but it has two catches: feeling less also means enjoying less, and during sex the agent transfers to your partner, where it numbs as well. Apply sparingly, let it take effect, then wash it off – or put a condom over it. With persistent complaints, a conversation with a doctor is a better route than a spray.

And the XXL and erection creams?

Honestly: we have no data showing any lasting enlargement. What such creams can do is stimulate blood flow – the effect is temporary. How do I test whether I tolerate it?

One drop on an uncomplicated patch of skin, for instance the inside of your elbow, then wait a few hours. This applies especially to the gels with a warming, cooling or vibrating effect: on mucous membrane they react far more strongly than on your arm. What is a Nuru massage?

A full-body massage in which both bodies are covered in a very slippery gel and the person massaging uses their whole body to do it. That takes considerably more gel than usual – hence the 500 ml bottle. The Nuru gel is water-based and therefore condom-safe, unlike the brand's massage oils.

How are toys cleaned afterwards?

With a toy cleaner, which the brand stocks itself: the Intimclean and the Secret Moments, 100 ml each. Spray on, let it work briefly, rinse off – before and after every use. There is more under sex toy cleaner and in the drugstore.
